SEA CUB PACK
CUBS WILL RECOMMENCE FOR 2008

There is a Ceiling on Cub Numbers for 2008, and a Waiting List has been established.
SEA CUB PROGRAMME
Children between the ages of 7 1/2 and 10 1/2 years are able to join a Cub
Pack. Calliope Cubs meet at "The Ship" in King Edward Pde each Tuesday
evening between 5.00 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. "Akela" is the name given
to the Cub Leader who is usually assisted by two other leaders and parents.
We now have two other Cub leaders with Baloo and Bagerra assisting Akela on
Cub nights.
At "The Ship" activities include badge work (eg. entertainers, first aid, conservation), rope work, games etc. Outings are also organised to work towards other badges/projects, such as visits to the swimming pools, the library, fire station, etc. Over the summer months the emphasis is placed on kayaks and water based activities, especially swiming.
